Our Partners

The Harlow 2020 LSP is made up of public, private and voluntary sector organisations, working together to improve life in the town by planning and developing the local infrastructure, services and facilities.
Organisations are members of 2020 on the basis of their significance to the town - in other words what they do, or have the potential to do, for Harlow. This means that all major local public service providers - such as local health trusts, the police and education providers are members.
Local voluntary organisations play a huge part in life in the town, so they are represented, as are local businesses, through the Chamber of Commerce. Some major employers sit directly on the Partnership.
The two local authorities which serve the town - Harlow Council and Essex County Council have both elected councillors and senior managers sitting on the Partnership. This is to ensure there is professional input, and accountability to local people.
The town's MP is a member of the Harlow 2020 board, in recognition of his role in representing local people.
Membership of the Partnership has changed to reflect local peoples' concerns and interests. For example many young people said they felt that their needs are frequently not recognised by service providers, and so members of the Harlow Youth Council are now represented on the Partnership Board.
