Harlow Community Awards 2009

The heroes of Harlow were recognised at the town's first Community Awards, organised by the Herald working in partnership with Harlow 2020. The inaugural event was held at the Great Parndon Community Association during February and recognised those who seek to help the lives of others.The categories included Carer of the Year, Teacher of the Year, Valiant Volunteer, Parent in a million, Young Citizen of the Year (under 18), Nurse/Care Worker of the Year, Great and Green Award, Charity Champions, Good Neighbour Award, Citizen of the Year, Role Model of the Year and finally Lifetime Achievement.
