  • To performance manage relevant Harlow Local Area Agreement targets, ensuring clearly defined accountability for action plans, targets, reporting, monitoring and review.
  • To foster a problem-solving approach which involves supporting partnership working to address issues facing children and young people in Harlow
  • To encourage co-ordination of service delivery through sharing information, resources, skills and training opportunities in order to maximise the availability of services and value for money, and to minimise duplication.
  • To secure resources for Harlow's children and young people through partnership bids to external funding sources and countywide commissioning processes.

Safer Harlow Partnership

Decorative police imageThe Safer Harlow Partnership is a body which has legal standing in its own right. All local authority areas across the UK are required to have a Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership.

Their role is to identify local issues around crime, community safety and anti-social behaviour, and to prepare and implement plans to tackle them. The work of the Safer Harlow Partnership links into that of the Harlow 2020 Partnership, and supports the delivery of the Harlow 2020 Vision.

Their priorities include the reduction of vandalism and other anti-social behaviour, and work to achieve a significant reduction in crime levels
